CUSTOMER INFORMATION
Provide accurate account, contact, delivery and Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN) information. Use your assigned shipping address and customer identification details on each shipment. Keep your contact information current and protect your account login. Incorrect or incomplete labels may cause identification delays and unknown-package charges.
Upload a genuine invoice and an accurate description and value before the package reaches “Processing at Customs.” Provide permits or other documents where required. Missing or inaccurate documents can delay clearance and affect the assessment of a related claim. Claims must still be investigated on the available evidence; missing documentation does not establish that OCA received a package or accepted responsibility for it.
Do not ship unlawful goods. Items subject to carrier, customs or import restrictions require confirmation of acceptance and any necessary approvals before shipping. OCA may refuse or hold a shipment that cannot lawfully or safely be transported or cleared. Customers remain responsible for accurate declarations and applicable duties, taxes and permits.
The customer air-freight rate starts at J$750 for 0–1 lb; there is no separate ½-lb tier. Higher weight bands are charged according to the current published rate schedule. Customer sea freight is US$9 per cubic foot. These are freight rates; applicable duties, taxes and separately disclosed service charges remain payable.
Other services, including China Direct and co-loading, are charged under their applicable quotation or agreement. Customer sea rates do not establish partner rates. Any currency conversion and additional charges must be shown in the quotation or invoice. Pay the applicable invoice before release unless an approved credit arrangement applies.
Arrival Scan is the principal record of warehouse receipt. A seller’s “delivered” status alone is not proof that OCA received the package. Where an Arrival Scan is missing, OCA will check available warehouse records and other evidence before confirming receipt.
Transit and clearance times are estimates. Flights, vessels, customs inspections, documentation, weather and warehouse or airport disruptions can affect availability. A seller’s delivery date is separate from OCA’s receipt, shipment, clearance and Ready for Pickup dates.
Packages have seven free calendar days of storage after Ready for Pickup notification. J$100 per package per calendar day applies from day eight. Customer packages still uncollected after 30 calendar days from Ready for Pickup notification are liquidated, subject to applicable law. The 30-day period includes the seven free storage days. Email notifications are sent at each notification interval under the Collection & Storage Policy.
Unknown packages remain in Miami until ownership is identified and verified. They are no longer forwarded to Jamaica unidentified. A J$500 identification/handling fee applies to an unknown package. Once verified, the package is prepared for the next available shipment. Miami unknown packages held for more than 45 calendar days from warehouse receipt may become eligible for liquidation or disposal under the Collection & Storage Policy.
Report damage, shortage or an incorrect item promptly, and submit the claim within seven calendar days of collection or delivery. For a missing package, contact OCA promptly and submit the claim within seven calendar days of learning of the loss. These reporting periods do not remove any non-excludable legal rights.
Provide the tracking or waybill number, purchase invoice, claimed amount, description of the issue and available photographs or other evidence. Keep the packaging and item available for inspection. Claims are checked against receipt scans, handling records, photographs, customs documents, declared value and investigation findings. Duplicate claims will not be processed as separate losses.
The maximum payout for an approved uninsured claim is J$16,200 per package. The cap is a maximum, not an automatic payment: Management determines the approved amount based on the substantiated loss and applicable coverage.
Compensation above J$16,200 is available only where declared-value coverage was purchased and approved for that shipment. Entering an item’s value or uploading an invoice does not, by itself, purchase or activate coverage. Any coverage must be confirmed and remains subject to its applicable terms.
Every claim requires investigation and approval before reimbursement, credit or replacement. Rejected claims will include a reason. Preferred settlement is E-Wallet account credit for future shipping or Management-approved repurchase of the item. Other settlement methods require Management approval. Seller returns, cancellations and purchase-order refunds are separate requests and are assessed under the applicable service arrangements. These provisions do not limit remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy. Material policy changes will be communicated through our website or account communication channels, with the applicable date stated. These Terms are governed by Jamaican law. Contact OCA first with service concerns so that we can investigate and respond.
